Elementary Teacher (K-6)
Our Mission is to provide a rich academic and cultural foundation, which ensures the joy of discovery in each child and fosters curious, creative, critical thinkers.
NCCL School is seeking innovative, dynamic, collaborative K-6 teacher who will be responsible for teaching reading with a phonics-based approach and / or conceptually based math with hands-on approach and co-teaching writing, social studies and science. It is important that the applicant has a background in education and understanding of child development, as well as strong communication skills. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who views a child’s social and emotional development as important as academic development. An individual that sees themselves as a change maker and is conscious of their role in society. We are seeking culturally competent individuals who are able to design curriculum and choose activities that have the best chance of increasing the learning and engagement among a diverse group of students.

We are looking for someone who:
Is energetic, patient, and flexible.
Has the ability and desire to develop and implement curriculum, as well as a desire to teach and learn in a progressive school environment.
Has understanding of K-6 fundamental math concepts and the desire to teach a conceptual based math program in a hands-on way.
Has the ability to anticipate and respond to children’s varied levels of understanding.
Has an Understanding Phonics/Reading concepts and desire to plan and implement a hands-on, inquiry-based curriculum.
Is eager to work in an engaging progressive school community, and join a supportive staff that discusses curriculum, DEI efforts, and school operations.
Has outside interests that will enrich our program.
Salary & Benefits:
– $52,584 – $59,160 depending upon experience, with annual cost of living and longevity increases.
