DESCRIPTION:EventBrite Link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/math-problems-tickets-453883205887\nWhen: Saturday\, December 10\, 2022\, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM\nWhere: Baker Demonstration School\, 201 Sheridan Rd\, Wilmette\, IL 60091\nWho: Pre-K through 12th grade teachers and preservice teachers interested in exploring math teaching practices that create mathematically meaningful and progressive classrooms\nCost: $20.00 Full Time Teachers /$10.00 Students & Preservice Teacher Rate\nCertificates of participation will be available to conference participants and presenters \nCall for Presentations (due by Friday November 11\, 2022) \nMath Problems is a place for Math educators to share their best math-focused content and pedagogy grounded in progressive practice. We are particularly excited to have conversations about engaging students in mathematically-meaningful inquiry and creation\, culturally responsive / relevant pedagogy\, and interdisciplinary work including but not limited to TMSJ (Teaching Math for Social Justice). We seek presentations from math educators\, grades pre-K- 12\, to present projects\, units\, or practices that you use to help your students discover Math and its beauty\, complexity\, and connections to students\, their communities/the broader world. Presentations can and should be informative\, with takeaways and shareable resources; we highly encourage sessions that are immersive and interactive. Sessions will run 60 minutes\, and should include significant time for conversation and exchange of ideas among participants.
