DESCRIPTION:Workshop participants will:\n\nutilize active and creative methods to engage all students in authentic inquiry and critical thinking skills\nreflect on how to deepen their anti-bias and social justice lens\nsee examples of how these methods work in the classroom\nplan lessons around their curricular units of study\nbuild a cohort of progressive educators and practitioners of Imaginative Inquiry\nenhance their progressive practice by connecting their teaching of Social Studies to children’s innate ability to imagine and play\n\nCourse Breakdown:\nDay 1 – Setting up the Framework for Imaginative Inquiry\nDay 2 – Tools for Teaching an Imaginative Inquiry Lesson\nDay 3 – Student Engagement in Imaginative Inquiry\nDay 4 – Synthesis and Innovation \n$1\,400 per person\nincludes workshop and breakfast/refreshments \nRegistration info:\nEarly Bird Registration and Discounts:\n10% discount by January 31 [CODE: EARLY]\n20% discount for public school educators [CODE: PUBLIC]\n10% discount for groups of 3 or more [CODE: GROUP]\n5% discount for PEN member schools [CODE: PEN] \nDiscounts cannot be combined.
